Your ‘Comfort Zone’ is Actually A Prison.

It’s not as comfortable as you think it is...

Our comfort zone is a very misleading thing…

We call it the ‘comfort zone’, when it should be called the ‘familiar zone’.

And if you haven’t noticed by now, your comfort zone isn’t always comfortable…

It’s predictable. That’s why we stay in it.

We stay in it not because it feels good, but because we know what to expect.

And from the standpoint of surviving, that’s the best bet.

But when it comes to actually thriving, this is when we realize that the comfort zone is our biggest setback.

We develop our comfort zone through repetition and exposure to the same people, places, activities, thoughts, feelings, and situations.

We go to the same job every day, do the same thing, talk to the same people about the same things…

We drive home the same way, spend our evenings the same, eat the same food, watch the same TV shows…

Go to bed at the same time, do the same thing on the weekends, and repeat…

On and on it goes.

And through this, our entire life becomes predicable and dependable. In that, we feel safe.

We may feel very unhappy and unsatisfied, but we say, “well, at least I can predict it.”

But going outside of your comfort zone is precisely how you change your life.

Talking to new people. Getting a new job. Moving to a new place. Doing something you’ve never done before.

Maybe even doing the thing you’re afraid to do… the thing you think you’re incapable of doing.

Taking that leap of faith into the unknown is what shows the universe that you’re ready.

You’re ready for a new you. A new life. A new level.

And guess what? The universe rewards that energy by lifting you up.

And what’s funny is that once you level up out beyond your comfort zone, that new level eventually becomes another comfort zone.

And then it’s time to grow again.

It eventually sparks the realization that the presence of a comfort zone = a lack of dynamic transformation.

And you start to feel uncomfortable when you’re in your comfort zone. It’s very fascinating.

This is what creates rapid development. Where you’re always pushing the edges just a little bit.

Not because you’re unsatisfied, but because you know that you’re capable of so much more than you’re leading on.

That’s when you start to crave your own transformation rather than just playing it safe.

So don’t be afraid to wander away from the nest a little bit. Don’t be afraid to do something a little bit different today.

It may change everything in the most incredible of ways.
