The Art of Emotions is Letting Them Flow

This is the secret to working with emotions...

I’ve found that the art of emotions is in letting them flow naturally.

Not resisting or insisting. But allowing.

Think about it like this:

Emotions = energy in motion

Your sadness, frustration, happiness, excitement—you name it—all WANTS to flow.

It is in their nature to move and transform.

But when happiness comes, we cling to it. And when pain comes, we push it away.

Although on opposite ends of the spectrum, this creates the very same result: resistance.

Resistance makes the happiness go away, and makes the pain last longer.

Isn’t it weird how it works like that?

The presence of an emotion is it already on its way out… read that twice if you have to.

The fact that you’re feeling it means it’s already leaving.

And the most harmonious way I’ve discovered when it comes to these emotions is to step out of their way, and allow them to move.

You’ll be able to enjoy the highs much more fully, and you’ll be able to withstand the lows much more efficiently.
