If Your Next Step Seems Unclear, Read This.

This is how you learn to find the next right step.

There’s an old Taoist quote that says, “As you walk the way, the way appears.”

It might seem paradoxical, but often times, this is how our life works.

The path unravels itself before you. And to travel it, you have to keep going.

Each step you take creates the next iteration of the journey you’re on.

If you ever feel like you don’t know what the next right step is, I want you to hear this:

When you don’t know the right move to make… pause. Go inward. Become still.

And the universe will make the next right step apparent.

We get so busy in our lives doing, doing, doing, playing God, thinking we’re the masters of reality, that we forget where we came from.

We forget the ground we walk upon that was here before us. And the ancient intelligence that laid it out.

We forget that the universe, too, plays a role in the unfolding of our life. A major role.

When you feel stuck, indecisive, and unsure, that’s usually a signal that in that moment, the next step isn’t up to you…

It isn’t for you to excavate from your own will and intent.

It’s often a signal to let go of the reins, to pause.

And let the universe play its part.

Our life is a cooperation between us and the universe itself. It’s a relationship.

But we need to give the universe space to take its own steps too.

We have to stop demanding, insisting, and forcing outcomes and decisions.

Give yourself that moment of pause, of contemplation.

And often times, like a budding flower… poof…

Out comes a decision that is more harmonious, beneficial, and wise than you could have ever constructed through logic and will.

It’s a game of faith. Of letting go. Of trusting that the universe will take a step too when you give it the space to do so.
